Bridge To Nowhere

Refers to the John McCain-Sarah Palin ticket for President-Vice President of the United States of America in the 2008 campaign. McCain-Palin are the proverbial 'bridge to nowhere' for the conservative base of the party. They are willing to vote for the pair who, while not representing their views, are at least not African-American (see Barack Obama).
